Motion Potion is a Naturopathically formulated Bowel Nutrient Powder. Designed to help Cleanse, Tone, Stimulate, Heal, Re-colonise and bring back the full function of the intestines.
This product works on encouraging bowel motion and healing the delicate mucosa of the intestines. It strengthens the peristalsis motion of the bowel as well as strengthening the blood vessels.
May help with the following conditions:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome
Why is it important to look after your digestion?
Bernard Jensen said "Disease begins in the bowel."
Did you know that most adults carry anywhere from 1-3kg of faecal matter in the lining and many folds of the small and large intestine. These folds can form pockets which become the ideal place for parasites and harmful bacteria to breed.
The intestines are one of the most important parts of your body. They are the centre where all nutrients are extracted from the food we eat. These nutrients will be used to rebuild every cell in our body.
They also perform the most important action – removing waste from
the system. The number one key to longevity, energy, and freedom from wrinkles and disease is to keep the intestines healthy and functioning correctly.
What do we mean by functioning correctly?
Your bowels should move 2-3 times per day. Any less and it’s considered constipation.
Each bowel movement should be well formed, light, fluffy and floating, it shouldn’t make your eyes water, and you should have a feeling of complete evacuation. Meaning it should leave you with a relieved ahhhh…
Sir Arbuthnot Lane, the great English surgeon, in an article published in "American Medicine" (May 1923), advances arguments to prove that cancer may be the result of constipation and autointoxication. It is recognised that these diseases are non-existent among primitive people whose bowels move twice or three times daily.
Dr John Harvey Kellog, who devoted over 50 years to the scientific study of constipation and auto-intoxication (self poisoning through re-absorption of wastes in the colon) said, "One bowel movement means constipation of a pronounced degree. X-ray examination after an opaque meal shows that persons whose bowels only move once a day are constantly carrying in their colon the putrefying residues of five to ten meals".
Are you regular?
The condition of your bowel movements is an indicator of the health of your entire body system. So take a look before you flush.
So here's where we get a little graphic:
Motion potion is not a laxitive. Laxatives, including the herbal formulas, relax and irritate the bowel. This is fine short-term but long term use leaves you with a slack, drooping bowel with little strength to perform peristalsis (the muscular movement of the bowel).
Motion potion contains more than just dietary fibre. It contains nutrients and herbs that have been used for centuries to heal and regenerate the bowels.
Psyllium - is a great source of mucilage, which is a type of soluble fibre. Constipation, Bowel disease, Obesity, Diabetes, Heart Disease and High Cholesterol have all been associated with low fibre diets. Including psyllium in the diet helps to provide bulk to stools and improve the tone of the bowel.
Slippery Elm - helps to soothe inflamed mucus membranes of the digestive system. It also assists in the repair of the digestive tract and feeds the friendly bacteria of the large intestine.
Marshmallow Root - has a soothing effect on the mucous membranes. It can be useful in calming the inflammation associated with gastritis, peptic ulcers, and diverticulosis. It is also known for its healing properties.
Wheat & Barley Grass - are a good source of antioxidant nutrients and chlorophyll. It is also high in vitamins A and B12, amino acids and minerals. Wheat and Barley Grass are known to nourish friendly bowel bacteria.
Rosehips - are a high source of natural vitamin C and is therefore improve immunity against infection. Rosehips have also been traditionally used for mild constipation and kidney stones.
Citrus Bioflavenoids - intensifies the effect of Vitamin C in the body. Daily use of Citrus Bioflavenoids can be helpful to those suffering from hemorrhoids as it strengthens capillaries.
Ginger- increases the production of digestive fluids and saliva, Ginger helps relieve indigestion, gas pains, diarrhea and stomach cramping
Linseed - swells and forms a soft gentle gel in the intestine. This gel softens stool and increases total stool volume. This improves bowel function and promotes bowel movement. The mucilage and gums in flax seed soothe gastro-intestinal irritation.
Signature blend of Friendly Bacteria - a broad range of friendly bacteria from a process which contains: Lactobacillus; Acidophillus, Bifidus, Plantarum, Delbrueckii, Casei, Bulgaricus, Caucasicus, Fermenti, Brevis, Helveticus, Leichmannii, Lactis, Sporogenes. Saccharomyces: Boulardii & Cerevisiae

Motion Potion Success Stories
"After having polyps removed I was concerned about the worsening condition of my bowels. Motion Potion helped me to become regular and I noticed that my movements became lighter and fluffier. Best of all I could feel my bowel was improving. After 2 months on Motion Potion my Doctor said that my bowel did not even look like it was the same bowel!"
“During my pregnancy I suffered terribly with constipation, and used a variety of remedies ranging from dried fruit, fibre supplements and even suppositories to no avail...that was until I came across Motion Potion. By taking Motion Potion twice a day I found that I was able to pass soft formed stools every day without any difficulty. Motion potion is gentle yet effective - no cramping pains or excessive wind that can often be side effects of laxative preparations. As a doctor working in women's health, I come across many women who are terrified of opening their bowels after childbirth, and I too had this fear, however I'm pleased to report that the morning after giving birth to my son, I passed a big, soft stool without any difficulty at all - much to the delight of my obstetrician, midwife and physiotherapist! Motion potion is an excellent product and I have no hesitation in recommending it to my patients.”

1. Is Motion Potion a Laxative?
No it is not. Long term laxative use can slacken the bowel and cause dependency. Motion Potion will in fact do the opposite. It is very gentle and can sometimes take up to 3 or 4 days to see the full results. It should be used to maintain regularity and for its healing properties to the intestines and gut. If you are severely constipated it may be necessary to take herbal laxatives first and then take Motion Potion to maintain regularity.
2. What is the recommended dosage?
It depends on what you use it for:
Maintenance dose: 1 teaspoon a day is recommended upon waking or 30minutes before bed.
Treatment dose: (for people with IBS or other Bowel conditions)
1 teaspoon twice daily is recommended upon waking and 30minutes before bed.
Therapeutic dose for severe symptoms or during a cleanse: 1 teaspoon three times a day is recommended upon waking, 30 minutes before lunch and 30minutes before bed.
3. How do I take it?
Stir 1 teaspoon vigorously into 1/2 glass of fruit juice (for flavour) or water and drink immediately as mixture will thicken. Always follow with 1-2 glasses of water.
NOTE: It is important to stay hydrated while taking Motion Potion. Therefore we recommend drinking at least 2L of water each day. Take at least 10 minutes away from medication.
4. What about taking Motion Potion while I have diarrhoea?
This is also recommended. Motion Potion will add bulk to the stool and absorb a lot of the water. It will also help with the inflammation associated with diarrhoea and reduce the sense of urgency. Motion Potion is also great to take to treat and prevent tummy bugs.
5. Can I take too much Motion Potion?
No. Motion Potion is a food not a drug, therefore if more was taken for any reason it would cause no harm. Maximum suggested dose is 1tsp 5 times/day – recommended during juice fasts only.

Motion Potion requires liquid to swell and do its cleansing work. Therefore it is important to drink 1-2 glasses of water straight after taking Motion Potion and maintain a high daily water intake.
8. Will I have to take Motion Potion for ever?
No, Motion Potion strengthens and improves the functionality of the bowel. Once your symptoms have reduced or disappeared you can change the dosage to a maintenance dose and eventually stop if you want to. 9. Can I take Motion Potion long term?
Motion Potion is a bowel regeneration formula so it is definitely recommended for long term use. However, you’ll find the longer you take it the less you will need it. The herbs contained in Motion Potion heal and repair the bowel and the entire digestive tract. Motion Potion can be taken to keep the bowel health and as preventative Medicine.

Pregnant women should keep dosage to 1tsp 2 times daily.
12. What if I am severely constipated?
You may first want to take herbal laxatives so that you have an elimination. Then use Motion Potion to help improve regularity. Make sure you drink at least 2 Lt of water a day.
In cases of bowel impaction it is important to start with a half dose and work up to a larger dose. Supervision from your health care practitioner is advisable.
